Steps

1

Laying of FLEXCB on the object to protect. The cable must lie differently according to the object that must be protected.

SOLAR PANELS : All the solar panels in a solar string need to be in contact with cable. Usually FLEXCB is fastened to the structure, with the cables more strech as possible. Usually the solar string is already grounded, so is possible to use the ground hole present in each panel to fasten it to the cable. System doesn’t work on motorized panels.

FENCES :  disposition on fences depends from nature of fence itself. FLEXCB have 1mt sensitivity so it’s normally need to made more cable turns (system does not accept a ring). Cable must be more strach as possible on the fence.

WALLS  : should be placed in different ways. Behind the wall streched on it, over the wall, covered by a metal plate to increase the sensitiviy  of the anti-jumping system, or similarly as a fiber optic system. In this case is mandatory that the cable must be perfectly tightened.

2

Installation of FLCEN.  FLCEN could be lodged in a plastic BOX or should be provided in a professional box equipped with power supplier

3

Connection between FLCEN and FLEXCB using RG59 coaxial cable. Then connection between FLEXTR (and FLEXCN) and FLEXCB. These two units have some  clamps (2 for junction, 1 for termination) that, when their related tamper is closed, are grounded. It’s mandatory that these 2 clamps have to be connected with the reference of FLEXCB/RG59, to prevent false alarms due to interferences .

4

Calibration of FLCEN

Suggestions and Grounding

1

The cable must be ideally layed by two people, one that strech FLEXCB as more as possible and the other one that apply the straps

2

Cable carefully also RG59 cable to prevent it from external shocks, because it has itself a very small sensitivity.

3

As FLCEN, FLEXCN and FLEXTR metal boxes needs to be located in a plastic box, to prevent possible oxidation derivated from moisture or water

4

Use metal straps to fix the system, because plastic ones suffers of deformation that can break straps or deflect FLEXCB; This could mean, if FLEXCB is set very sensitive, false alarms.

5

It’s MANDATORY that all the system had to be under same grounding (FLEXCN, FLEXTR, FLCEN) to not cause problems on the reference and consequent instability of the system.  Remember that FLEXCN and FLEXTR are normally on same ground of the object to protect.
